COMMUNITY GATHERINGS AND OUTREACH
At St. Andrew’s, we are committed to living out our slogan:
Gather. Worship. Serve.
Through a variety of congregational outreach events, we share God’s love in tangible ways and support our neighbors in need. Below are some of the annual congregational and community events we host as part of our mission to serve.
Back-to-School Supply Drive
As summer winds down, we come together to make sure every child starts the school year ready to learn. From backpacks and notebooks to pencils and crayons, our congregation donates supplies that equip students for success and show them they’re supported by their community.
Coffee Hour
As simple as it may sound, coffee hour is one of the best parts of Sunday! After worship, we grab a cup of coffee (or two), share some treats, and catch up with friends old and new. It’s a time for laughter, stories, and connection — the perfect way to wrap up our Sunday service.
Person-to-Person Dove Program
Each year, St. Andrews Episcopal Church joins with other local houses of worship/organizations to participate in Person-to-Person's annual Dove program to provide food for families and seniors in our community who might otherwise go without during the holiday season.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper
Before Lent begins, we celebrate with food, fellowship, and joy! Shrove Tuesday is a time for the whole congregation and community to come together for fun and connection as we prepare our hearts for the Lenten season. This event is scheduled the day before Ash Wednesday.
Undie Sunday
Each we gather new underwear and socks for children and adults in need. These donations are distributed through our local partners to help provide comfort to those facing difficult circumstances. Collections usually begin in May and is distributed in June.
