Sandy Key

Senior Associate Rector, St. John’s Stamford

The Rev. Sanford (Sandy) Key retired as a Police Officer from the Charleston Police Department in Charleston, South Carolina, in the early 90s to pursue a lifelong calling in ministry. He and his wife Laura moved to Sewanee, Tennessee, where he studied for his Master of Divinity at the School of Theology, University of the South. Sandy has served as a priest in several churches in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and New York before his call brought him to Connecticut.

We enjoy a rotation of Stamford clergy to lead our Principal Worship Service
